FLOW LOOP CONTROL (PD MODE)

AIM: To study the action of ‘Proportional Derivative Controller’ for a flow loop process control using process control software installed in a PC.

EQUIPMENTS REQUIRED:

Flow meter                :           Orifice with DP sensor

Range                         :           300 LPH

Pump                          :           FHP monoblock pump

Sensor                        :           Orifice plate

Control value                        :           ½ glove value (linear)15mm stem travel

Actuator                     :           Pneumatic actuator (input 3-15 PSI)

I to P converter         :           I/p 4-20mA and O/p 3 -15  PSI

Data Logger               :           16 Bit ADC 8 channel  with 12bit DAC

Interfaced with PC through RS-232 serial port

Controller output     :           4-20mA

Power                 :           230V AC, 50Hz, Power supply to drive the   monoblock pump

System requirement :           PC (Pentium III or IV)
