COMPOSITION:
Each vial contains:
BILMOCIN – 100mg : Amikacin Sulphate Inj – 100mg
BILMOCIN – 500mg : Amikacin Sulphate Inj – 500mg

INTRODUCTION:
Amikacin is effective against a variety of aerobic gram-negative bacilli including those that are resistant to Gentamicin and other aminogiycosides. It is effective against both penicillinase and nonpenicillinase producing staphylococcus Aurues. Amikacin shows excellent activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis & a typical mycobacterium.

INDICATIONS:
Bàcteriaeniias, Septicaemias, Reparatory tract, Bones and joints, CNS(Including meningitis),Skin & Soft tissue, Intra- abdominal infections including (peritonisis), Burns and Post operative infections.

DOSAGE:
1.M. route for adults, children and older infants l5mg./kg body weight/day in 2 or 3 divided doses.
Maxi 1.5 mg./day.

SIDE EFFECTS:
Ototoxicity, Nephrotoxicity, Neuromuscula-5lokade, Skin rash.
