COMPOSITION:
Each tablet contains:
Atenolol                      50 mg
Amlodipine Besylate 5 mg

PHARMACOLOLOGY:
ATENOLOL
It is a relatively cardio selective B-andrenoceptor blocking agent without membranes stabilizing or intrinsic sympathomimetic activities. Following oral doses of 50 or 100 mg. both B-blocking & antihypertensive effects persist for at least 24 hrs because of higher lipid solubility.

AMLODIPINE:
It is a dihydropyridine Ca antagonist, with a long duration of action used for the treatment of hypertension & angina pectoris. It inhibits the transmembrance influx of calcium ions into the cardiac muscle & smooth muscle.

INDICATIONS:
Hypertension, angina including chronic stable and vasospastic types.
Hypertension, anginapectors, myocardial infarction.

DOSAGE:
Once Daily
